James and I had a day off together finally.
We taught 'beer class' at work this morning and took a nice nap, then drove up the Cascade Lakes Highway with Sammy and our canoe, destination: Sparks Lake. I'll let the pictures do the talking today.

As you can see, it was a perfect day. Since we had lazy morning, we didn't arrive until after 4pm, just as a tour bus was packing up its crew! Translation: we had the lake to ourselves.
Central Oregon is a magical place, its so nice to be able to drive 30 minutes and be in the heart of National Forest, surrounded by old growth Ponderosa Pine trees and 10,000 ft volcanoes.
Sammy had his dream day!! He loves water, and loves to dive for rocks. Observe.
It was a perfect day, reminding me once again why I choose to live in Central Oregon. Hope everyone is enjoying their week, and exploring all the cool places right in their own backyards!
